Date Night: Discovering Each Other's Strengths

This date night activity requires a small amount of prep time.  The instructions will lead you to a podcast and a website for downloading a questionnaire that will provide you both with information on your strengths and how they compliment each other.  Understanding each other's strengths is a great way to affirm and enhance the marital bond.  Celebrate what each of you are bringing to the table with this date night activity.

DATE NIGHT

It is so easy to forget why we got married or what first attracted us to our spouse.  It is so important in the crazy time machine of life that we make time periodically to remember the beauty and gift we've been given in our spouse.  Remembering is good for us, good for them, and essential to the health of the marriage.

love journalTHE LOVE JOURNAL

As an ongoing commitment to value our spouse, and thus, our marriage, this journal offers an opportunity to help us stay the course.  Every day most of us have a commitment to some priority that is important to us, whether that be eating right, time on the treadmill, devotion and prayer, time with our kids.  This journal encourages and supports our efforts to think positively and in thankfulness about our spouse, and reminds our spouse that they are valued.

You’ve heard the expression, “the grass is greener on the other side.”  The truth is, in marriage, the grass is greener where you water it.  Take time out this week, better yet, this month, to find out how you and your spouse can create a "greener" marriage.  Stop by our Home Pointe Center at the church and pick up a recipe card or view it by clicking the link below.
