STAY CONNECTED WITH US BY TEXT
We want to keep you in the loop of what’s going on at Churchill Baptist! In the coming days, we are going to be increasingly relying on TEXT MESSAGES to keep our church family up-to-date and informed.  If you would like to receive TEXT MESSAGES from us, text CONNECT to 210-796-9800.  There will be a brief one-minute form for you to fill out.  This will also help us to easily update our church records.  If you have any questions, you can contact the church office or you can send an email to: churchill@churchillbaptist.org
Help us keep you in the loop!

Table Talk
Discussion questions for your family about today’s message from God’s Word.

1.  Talk with your family about the many different reasons people may be having feelings of guilt during this current pandemic.  Guilt and grief often go together.  Discuss how these two responses are connected and how they are heightened by the current crisis.
2.  What two books in the Bible are primarily about dealing with grief and loss?  How do these two books differ from one another?  Why is it important to understand that human suffering may or may not be an expression of God’s judgment upon guilty sinners?
3.  In the book of Lamentations, Jeremiah brings the peoples’ experience of guilt before God as an honest confession of sin.  Christians should do this as well.  Read 1 John 1:7-9 and 1 Peter 2:24 and discuss this statement with your family: “Let guilt be your chauffeur to drive you to the cross!”

AWANA AWARDS
Although we were unable to finish out the AWANA year as we had planned, we still want to recognize the accomplishments of the kids. We will have a drive thru AWARDS NIGHT on Sunday, June 7, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the church parking lot. Please save the date - More details to follow!  If you will be participating it would help us prepare if we know who plans to attend. If your child has completed sections at home since we suspended AWANA meetings, please let Rich Reisberg (rreisberg@satx.rr.com) know by May 24.
