VIRTUAL VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
We will have a virtual VBS this year, July 27 - July 31! Please refer to the church email for more information.

STAY CONNECTED WITH US BY TEXT
(BY TEXTING US, IT GIVES US PERMISSION TO TEXT YOU!) We want to keep you in the loop of what's going on at Churchill Baptist! In the coming days, we are going to be increasingly relying on TEXT MESSAGES to keep our church family up-to-date and informed. If you would like to receive TEXT MESSAGES from us, text CONNECT to 210-796-9800. There will be a brief one-minute form for you to fill out. This will also help us to easily update our church records. If you have any questions, you can contact the church office or you can send an email to: churchill@churchillbaptist.org
Help us keep you in the loop!

SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE
Pastor Neil's sermon: "Deep Grievance" (Lamentations 2:1-10)
Sometimes when we go through grief and suffering, we have a sense of grievance. We feel that we have been treated unfairly, and we resent it. We believe that someone is to blame for our suffering. Well, what if that Someone is God? In this message from Lamentations 2:1-10, we will explore the theme of Deep Grievance: What to do When you are Angry with God!

To watch the May 31 Worship Service at 10:30 a.m., click on the link below! You can also access the video on the church website or by going to YouTube and searching for Churchill Baptist Church San Antonio.

Table Talk
Discussion questions for your family about today's message from God's Word.

1. A grievance is a feeling of resentment that you have been mistreated or wronged. What kind of grievances do people have in the midst of this pandemic? Do you know anyone who is angry with God? Discuss this with your family.

2. In Lamentations 2 and 3, Jeremiah voices the grievances of God's people against God Himself for the destruction of Jerusalem. Jeremiah refuses to let God go even in the midst of his pain. Discuss why this kind of lament is actually an expression of faith, rather than unbelief.

3. If you feel angry with God, you should 1)Talk to God; 2)Listen to God; 3)Trust God; and 4) Look to the Cross. How did Jesus on the cross voice his prayer of grievance and lament? How does the cross help us understand God's involvement in our suffering?

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL
If you log in to Zoom on your computer, please check your account for an upgrade. Upgrading (updating) before May 30 will prevent delays from joining Sunday School. This is the notice from Zoom: "Important Notice Please begin updating all your clients to Zoom 5.0 now. After May 30, 2020, all Zoom clients on older versions will receive a forced upgrade when trying to join meetings as GCM Encryption will be fully enabled across the Zoom platform." Again, please make sure you update before May 30.

Our class will begin 9:15 a.m. Please refer to the church email for the log in link!

AWANA AWARDS
Although we were unable to finish out the AWANA year as we had planned, we still want to recognize the accomplishments of the kids. We will have a drive thru AWARDS NIGHT on Sunday, June 7, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the church parking lot. Please enter through the back parking lot. If you have any questions please let Rich Reisberg know. (rreisberg@satx.rr.com)

COLLEGE GRADUATES
We would like to recognize and give thanks to God for our college graduates. If you are graduating, please send us your full name, school from which you graduating, and the degree you are receiving. Please send us your information by May 30.
