WORSHIP WITH US ON FATHER'S DAY EITHER OUTDOORS OR ONLINE
This Sunday, June 21, is Father's Day! Our pre-recorded Sunday morning service will be available online as usual, but we are once again offering an outdoor/drive-up service at 9:00 AM where people can stay in their cars or sit in chairs with social distancing in the shade under the trees outside of the FLC. Last Sunday we had a few more people join us for worship and the temperatures were quite pleasant. We are hoping and praying for good weather again this Sunday as we celebrate Father's Day! We hope to see you there! IN THE EVENT OF RAIN, THIS SERVICE WILL BE CANCELLED.
In light of San Antonio's ongoing COVID-19 spike in cases and hospitalizations, our resident medical expert, Dr. Eduardo Macias, cardiologist at UT Health, recommends that we continue to refrain from holding worship services indoors for the present time. Dr. Macias has indicated that outdoor services are still a safe option as long as social distancing is observed. Such services present a very low level of risk to those who are present.

Dr. Macias is a caring physician who has a very strong commitment to Christ and a love for the entire Churchill family. Dr. Macias and I continue to be prayerful and diligent as we evaluate the best medical data and put our trust in the Lord! Thank you for your continued prayers as we do our best to reopen our church gradually and safely in the days to come!

I feel somewhat like the Apostle Paul who wrote to the Thessalonian Christians: "You always remember us kindly and long to see us, as we long to see you?" (1 Thessalonians 3:6).
While we are all anxious to put the coronavirus pandemic behind us, at the present time, we need to practice loving one another by maintaining our distance for a little while longer. Join us for the outdoor/drive-up service if you can, but if not, continue to worship with us online. One way or another, let's worship together this Sunday!

Pastor Neil

SUNDAY WORSHIP ONLINE
(New sermons are available to watch by 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. After that, they are available to watch anytime!)

"Fatherhood: The Core of the Universe" (Selected Scripture)

George MacDonald was a Scottish Pastor and author who served as a spiritual mentor to C. S. Lewis. His study of the Scriptures led him to observe that "Fatherhood must be the core of the universe." We will explore this theme in this message from God's Word which has a special relevance for fathers today.

Click on the link below to watch the worship service online. The link will be active on Sunday, June 21 by 10:30 a.m.!

Table Talk
Discussion questions for your family about today's message from God's Word.

1. George MacDonald observed, "Fatherhood must be the core of the universe." Read John 1:1-2 and John 17:24 and discuss this concept with your family. What do we learn from this?
2. What are some the privileges and blessings that come with being a child of God? Discuss this with your family and list as many as you can.
3. The Apostle Paul was a spiritual father to the Corinthian Christians. In 1 Corinthians 11:1, Paul encouraged them by saying, "Follow my example as I follow the example of Christ." Fathers, pray that Paul's words would serve as the pattern for your life as you seek to lead your families. Join with your family in praying for this to become reality in the lives of other fathers you know.
