JOIN US FOR WORSHIP ONLINE, THIS SUNDAY, JULY 26!
This Sunday, July 26, our message from 2 Corinthians 5:16-17 is entitled, "The New Has Come!" This message will focus on the believer as a new creation in Christ Jesus. It is a part of our series, "Good Courage: Eternal Realities to Strengthen Your Faith." We will see that the reality of the new creation radically transforms the way we look at Jesus, the way we look at ourselves, and the way we look at others!

OUR PRE-RECORDED SERVICE WILL ONCE AGAIN BE AVAILABLE SUNDAY AT 10:30 A.M. THROUGH OUR WEBSITE, THE CHURCH APP, AND ON YOUTUBE.

For the present time, our outdoor/drive-up services have been suspended in light of the dangerous spike in COVID-19 cases in San Antonio. Area hospitals are under severe stress and are nearing capacity due to the exponential spread of the coronavirus. The Baptist Hospital system is continuing to encourage churches to refrain from meeting together physically for the present time in an attempt to curb the tremendous stress on hospital resources due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Let us continue to pray for all of the medical professionals and first responders who are daily putting themselves at risk to care for others during this crisis. "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people." (Ephesians 6:18 --NIV)

Sermon: "The New Has Come" (2 Corinthians 5:16-17)
This message from 2 Corinthians 5:16-17 is entitled, "The New Has Come!" The Bible teaches that the believer is a new creation in Christ Jesus. The reality of the new creation radically transforms everything for the Christian. It changes the way we look at Jesus, the way we look at ourselves, and the way we look at others!

Table Talk
Discussion questions for your family about today's message from God's Word.

1. God's word declares that a person who has trusted Jesus as Savior and Lord is a new creation. The old has passed away and the new has come! How did Paul's life change when he met Jesus? How did your life change when you met the Lord? Discuss this with your family.

2. Knowing Jesus changes the way we look at others. What does Paul mean when he says, "We regard no one according to the flesh?"? How does this verse speak to the sin of racism? What does it mean to say that our unity in Christ is based on grace, not race? Read Galatians 3:27-28 and Revelation 7:9 and give thanks for our great new creation family!

3. How does knowing Jesus change the way we see ourselves? Being a new creation means that there is more to you than what you are according to the flesh. How many blessings can you name that come from belonging to Christ?
