Churchill Baptist is, along with other churches in San Antonio, co-sponsoring a Cowboy Church in the Helotes area of northwestern Bexar County.  The church was formed to reach many of the county’s estimated 150,000 people identified as very interested in “Western Heritage.”  Most of them are unchurched and there had been no Baptist church serving them.  Other Cowboy Churches in Texas report great success in bringing many of this group to Christ, mostly adults.  Their worship style is very casual and often in rodeo-type surroundings.  The pastor of the church, a Texas cowboy himself, fits the congregation perfectly.
